About a month ago I created a new soundtrack.
The following is not a playlist. It’s a soundtrack. This is a series of tracks that I’ve chosen to follow me around for a while. I use this soundtrack when I’m writing, when I’m cleaning my apartment, and when I’m on the elliptical trainer. I just listen to it. It isn’t just when I’m down, or when I’m at the gym, or when I’m ____________. It’s whenever music. And somehow it always works for what it’s supposed to work for.
(Truth told, I prefer the Hotrats version off of Turn Ons better than the Elvis Costello version — but I couldn’t find a good Soundcloud link.)
(That’s an embedded MySpace track — it’s “Emergency Street” by the Hilotrons.)
(NB: I’m back-posting this weekend’s posts because I thought I scheduled them, but it turns out I hadn’t.)
This is the sixteenth post in my #30posts challenge. Don’t know what that is? Read this.
